Schoolkids Records (Retail & Label)

This is a rather kick ass collection of songs. Kat Bjelland's delivery is probably less feral than usual but there are arresting moments of noise and off kilter beauty, like "Drivin'" which has drummer Lori Barbero going off in repetition and Kat Bjelland's dreamier registers in the background. "Sweet '69" is equally delicious with shredded guitars and Bjelland obviously enjoying the noise and vocally ripping it up. Songs like "Hello" and "Oh Yeah" are enjoyable, just good, hard rock This is catchy, pouty, bratty punk rock. This album is produced by Tim Mac and Babes in Toyland. We can't help but we love it.
