Vinyl LP repressing of this album from the legendary crooner. Released in 1969 on Reprise, Watertown is Frank Sinatra's most ambitious concept album and the only album he ever voiced over pre-recorded orchestral tracks. It was produced and co-written by Bob Gaudio, one of four members of the 1960s pop vocal group the Four Seasons. In a series of soliloquies, the nameless narrator tells his heartbreaking story of personal loss: his wife has left him and their two boys for the lure of the big city. The album was released to mixed critical reviews and poor sales, Sinatra's only major album release not to crack the Billboard Top 100; the packaging was uncharacteristic of typical Sinatra album designs. Later, many critics hailed the album as a misunderstood gem in Sinatra’s catalog.

Vinyl LP repressing of this 1959 album from the legendary crooner. Come Dance with Me! Was Frank Sinatra's most successful album, spending two and a half years on the Billboard charts. Stereo Review wrote in 1959 that "Sinatra swaggers his way with effortless verve through an appealing collection of bouncy standards, aptly described in the album notes as "vocals that dance". At the Grammy Awards of 1960, Come Dance with Me! won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, as well as Grammy Award for Best Vocal Performance, Male. Billy May won the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement. Come Dance With Me stayed on Billboard's Pop album chart for 140 weeks, peaking at #2. Features the classics ‘Cheek To Cheek’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and ‘Baubles, Bangles & Beads’.

Vinyl LP repressing of this album from the legendary crooner. This 1961 record, one of Frank Sinatra's last for Capitol, continues in the swingin' vein of Come Fly with Me, Come Dance with Me, and Sinatra's Swingin' Session. Fine versions of "On the Sunny Side of the Street," "Don't Take Your Love from Me" and "That Old Black Magic" make it well worth your hard-earned cash. Most interesting, however, are Billy May's dynamic arrangements, which take full advantage of the stereo spectrum. While some listeners may find the relentless ping-ponging a distraction, fans of "space-age bachelor pad" artists such as Esquivel and Henri Rene will find much to enjoy here.

Featuring a selection of Oscar-winning standards, ranging from 1934's 'The Continental' to 1962's 'Days of Wine and Roses,' ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS is a professional and stylish album. 2014 re-release. In many ways, SINATRA AT THE SANDS is the definitive portrait of Frank Sinatra in the '60s. Recorded in April of 1966, AT THE SANDS is the first commercially released live Frank Sinatra album, recorded at a relaxed Las Vegas club show. For these dates at the Sands, Sinatra worked with Count Basie and his orchestra, which was conducted by Quincy Jones. Throughout the show, Sinatra is in fine voice, turning in a particularly affecting version of 'Angel Eyes.' He is also in fine humor, constantly joking with the audience and the band, as well as delivering an entertaining monologue halfway through the album. Basie and the orchestra are swinging and dynamic, inspiring a textured, dramatic, and thoroughly enjoyable performance from Sinatra.

2014 re-release. In the early '60s, Columbia and Capitol were issuing collections of Frank Sinatra's biggest hits, which tended to sell quite well. SINATRA'S SINATRA was the singer's attempt to get a piece of that action for his new record label, Reprise. Arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle, the album is a collection of rerecorded versions of 12 of his favorite songs, including two new charts ('Nancy [With the Laughing Face]' and 'Oh! What It Seemed to Be'). Some of his biggest hits and most famous songs are included in his picks, including 'I've Got You Under My Skin' and 'Young at Heart.' the 1963 album reached #6 on the pop chart and is certified Gold.

2014 re-release. Following the across-the-boards success of STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT, THAT'S LIFE continued Frank Sinatra's streak of commercially successful albums that straddled the line between traditional and contemporary pop music. Adding more pop music techniques to his repertoire of show tunes, THAT'S LIFE made contemporary pop concessions while satisfying Sinatra's own taste for weightier, more respected material. Although it was a pop-oriented record, Sinatra had not begun to rely on rock-influenced productions; instead, arranger/conductor Ernie Freeman contributed charts that alternated between bluesy, brassy swingers and string arrangements, supported by a backing chorus. The album is notable for it's title song, 'That's Life', which proved to be a top five hit for Sinatra in the age of post-Beatles rock music. The 1966 album reached #6 on the pop chart and is certified Gold.

2014 re-release. Following the release of SOME NICE THINGS I'VE MISSED, Frank Sinatra embarked on a six-concert tour in 1974. The tour culminated with a televised concert from Madison Square Garden on October 13, 1974. Subtitled LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, this album isn't an exact document of the concert. Instead, it's a compilation taken from various shows on 'The Main Event' tour. The album is a delight, full of inspired performances. While there are a couple of contemporary numbers thrown in, the majority of the songs are standards, from 'The Lady Is a Tramp' to 'I've Got You Under My Skin.' Sinatra's voice sound fine on his trademark numbers, particularly a lovely piano duet on 'Angel Eyes, ' but he brings contemporary material to life as well. Dedicated fans will certainly find more to cherish here than the casual listener, but it remains one of his most enjoyable records of the '70s.

Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra, long acclaimed as the world's greatest performer of popular music, is the artist who set the standard for all others to follow. A beloved entertainer for six decades, Sinatra earned three Oscars®, three Golden Globes®, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award, ten personal GRAMMYs® (and a total of 20 for his albums), an Emmy®, a Peabody®, and the Kennedy Center Honors Award in 1983. A generous charitable contributor, he was honored with the prestigious Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1971. In addition, Sinatra was awarded the Presidential Medal Of Honor and the Congressional Gold Medal, Congress' highest civilian award. From 1953 to 1961, Sinatra recorded more than 17 albums for Capitol Records. During Sinatra's years with Capitol, he pioneered and perfected the idea of the 'concept album' by recording and sequencing songs on his LPs to strike and complete a specific mood. Albums such as Come Fly With Me, Only The Lonely, Songs For Swingin' Lovers! and In The Wee Small Hours are considered vital classics. In 1960, Sinatra formed his own record company, Reprise. At that label, he would record many of his signature hits, such as 'Strangers In The Night,' 'My Way,' and 'Theme from New York, New York.' Frank Sinatra has been called the most popular entertainer of the 20th century. The new ICON collection features 11 of his timeless classics, including 'My Way,' 'Theme From New York, New York,' 'Come Fly With Me,' 'Strangers In The Night,' and the Cole Porter classics 'I've Got You Under My Skin' and 'I Get A Kick Out Of You.'
