Yung Lean
Stranger
Year0001

A misfit from Stockholm who overnight became a worldwide phenomenon, Yung Lean has outgrown his post-internet novelty beginnings to become a D.I.Y icon. Stranger marks Yung Lean's evolution from polarizing viral sensation to pioneering mainstay in modern hip-hop and electronic music.

Charlotte Gainsbourg
Rest
Atlantic

Rest showcases Charlotte Gainsbourg's newfound lyrical confidence – to trust her own words' ability to communicate universal pains of loss through personal ones. Best known for his work with Frank Ocean, producer SebastiAn gives Rest a Giorgio Moroder-inspired edge. Other collaborators include Daft Punk, Owen Pallett, and Paul McCartney.
Ronnie Earl
The Luckiest Man
Stony Plain

The Luckiest Man confirms Ronnie Earl’s status as one of the most soulful blues/soul/jazz guitarists working today. A three-time Blues Award winner as Guitarist of The Year, Earl has worked with his band The Broadcasters for almost 30 years – and this album is dedicated to the memory of long-time Broadcaster bassist, Jim Mouradian, who was fond introducing himself as “The luckiest man you know — and I don’t even know who you know.”

Project Mama Earth
Mama Earth
Mascot Records

In June 2017, 5 world-renowned musicians – Joss Stone (vocals), Nitin Sawhney (guitar), Jonathan Joseph (drums), Étienne M'Bappé (bass/guitar) and Jonathan Shorten (keyboards) – met in Devon England. They had no songs. No chord charts. Nothing, in fact, but a plan to play and catch the sparks. 10 days later the Mama Earth sessions were over… And yet, you sense that the story of this globally-minded funk band is only just beginning.
Katherine McPhee
I Fall In Love Too Easily
BMG

American Idol album, Katharine McPhee, had a simple, yet timeless, concept for her new album, I Fall In Love Too Easily: “I wanted to do a record people could make out to. It’s the most romantic music in the world. All of the songs tell stories. That’s why I love them so much.” Those songs, which include covers of Nina Simone's “Everything Must Change” and Frank Sinatra's “Night and Day,” were produced by Don Was and recorded at Ol’ Blue Eyes’ old stomping grounds, Capitol Recording Studios.

G-Eazy
THE BEAUTIFUL & DAMNED
RCA

The Beautiful & Damned is not only rapper G-Eazy’s 4th album, but it’s also a short film. Both deal with Gerald / G-Eazy – the two characters through which he lives his life. A reference to F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel of the same name, The Beautiful & Damned shows us hung-over Gerald left having to clean up reckless G’s aftermath on a daily basis. Guests include Halsey, Kehlani, A$AP Rocky, and Cardi B.
Scorpions
BORN TO TOUCH YOUR FEELINGS - BEST OF ROCK BALLADS
Legacy

Scorpions have a staggering number of global hits, but Born to Touch Your Feelings is dedicated solely to the band's softer side. Spanning 17 tracks, Born to Touch Your Feelings includes both recent remasters as well as selections from Comeblack (the band’s 2011 collection of covers and re-recorded hits), a fresh acoustic version of "Send Me and Angel,” and a pair of brand new tunes ("Melrose Avenue" and "Always Be With You"). This is Power Ballad Heaven!

Taylor Swift spent her teen years and early adulthood becoming one of the biggest stars in the world – first conquering country music and then, especially with her last album, 1989, the pop universe. 1989 not only featured her most indelible hooks – love ‘em or not, you’re probably humming one right now – but a new attitude. Even pop princesses get mad as hell and aren’t willing to take it – break-ups, negative press, streaming services – anymore… And just like that her songs acquired a somewhat subversive but definitely sarcastic air that kept both tweens and middle-aged music writers on the edge of their seats. But everyone loves drama -- so, while details about Swift’s new album, reputation, are still shrouded in mystery, one thing seems certain: She’s gonna give us more. Sure, the cover of reputation looks like she’s about to deliver an early-Aughts mall-punk opera, but the album’s first two singles, “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Ready For It?” indicate that she’s a lot more interested in hip hop and glitchy RnB. And with collaborators like Drake, Kesha, and Max Martin rumored to be in the mix, reputation could be an album hell-bent on throwing some serious shade. And we’re gonna love every minute of it.

Chris Stapleton's From A Room: Volume 2 takes its name from Nashville's historic RCA Studio A (the capital "A" in From A Room) where it was recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer – the ubiquitous force behind the Nashville’s most daring artists – Dave Cobb. Along with Stapleton on vocals and guitar and Cobb on acoustic guitar, the album features Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals as well as longtime band-members J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums. In addition to seven songs co-written by Stapleton, the album features versions of Kevin Welch's "Millionaire" and the Homer Banks/Lester Snell-penned song made famous by Pops Staples, "Friendship." Volume 2 follows the release of From A Room: Volume 1, which debuted earlier this year at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and, with its RIAA Gold certification, remains the #1 best-selling country album of 2017. Stapleton's 2015 double platinum, Grammy-winning solo debut, Traveller, is still the #2 best-selling country album of the year. Your move, “bro-country.”
